Basilica Cistern (Yerebatab Sarayi)

Meaning a sunken palace, it is an underground reservoir built from many stone pillars and arches that holds about 800 million liters of water. It was built from stone transported from Greece and Anatolia, and each pillar was made in a different style.
It also served as the setting for the spy who loved me in the movie 007 and the sequel to The Da Vinci Code, Inferno.
