Hagia Sophia

Hagia Sophia means holy wisdom and is now also called aya Sophia in Turkye. It is the former Orthodox Church, located in Istanbul, Turkiye. Built during the reign of Justiniatus I of the Eastern Roman Empire and serving as the headquarters of the Orthodox Church, it was used as an Islamic mosque after the Ottoman Empire's entry into Constantinople in 1453. It was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 and has been used as a mosque until now
