Located east of the old castle in Istanbul, it was built during the reign of Mehmet II. For about 300 years, it was used as an Ottoman palace, a Capitol, and a higher educational institution for talent until Abdel-Mejit I moved to Dolmabache Palace. It consists of four courtes, which were open to ordinary people to the first court, the Emperor's Gate.
